The Shaw Plugs Mechanical Expansion Plug is a mechanical expansion anchor made of zinc plated steel with a 3/8" diameter and 1-3/4" length. It has a hex head and is designed for use in hardened concrete. The anchor is inserted into a pre-drilled hole and then tightened to expand the anchor for a secure hold. This anchor requires a minimum hole depth of 1-3/4" and is rated for light duty loads up to 50 lbs in 2,500 psi concrete when installed properly. The hex head drive allows for easy fastening with a wrench or socket. This is a economical general purpose mechanical anchor.
