The Shaw Plugs Mechanical Expansion Plug is a zinc-plated steel expansion plug that provides an anchoring point in concrete or masonry. It has a 5/16 inch diameter and expands to grip when the setting tool is inserted and hammered. This style plug has wings that prevent rotation after installation. The working load limit is 50 lbs in 2,000 psi concrete. It meets ASTM F593 specifications. This is a mechanical expansion anchor that requires drilling a hole, inserting the plug, then driving the setting tool to expand and set the anchor.
