The Shaw Plugs Mechanical Expansion Plug is a mechanical expansion anchor made of zinc plated steel with a 3/8" diameter and 1-3/4" length. It has a hex head and is designed for use in hardened concrete. The anchor is inserted into a pre-drilled hole and then tightened to expand the anchor for a secure hold. This product can be used for hanging pipe, conduit, cable trays, ductwork, suspended ceilings, and other applications that require anchoring into concrete. The anchor has a temperature range of -20°F to 150°F and offers vibration and shock resistance. It meets ASTM E488 and Federal Specification A-A-1923A standards. The plugs are sold in packs of 25.
