The Shaw Plugs 14M040 Mechanical Expansion Plug is a 3/8" diameter zinc alloy expansion anchor with a 1-1/4" embedment depth. It is designed for use in concrete and can support up to 75 lbs in tension and 225 lbs in shear. The anchor body has a cone shape and it expands outward when the screw is tightened to grip the sides of the hole. This is a mechanical type anchor that does not require setting with a hammer. It is easy to install by pre-drilling a hole, inserting the anchor, and tightening the screw to expand and set the anchor in place. The anchor is made in the USA and is ETL listed to US safety standards.
