Description

Menhaden oil diet. Contains AIN-76, casein, menhaden oil and mineral and vitamin mix. With 3% corn oil and antioxidants.

Special procedures are required for the proper preparation of menhaden oil diets since these polyunsaturated oils rapidly oxidize upon exposure to air. Under normal conditions, an unacceptable level of oxidation occurs after just three days of exposure to the atmosphere. In order to minimize oxidation, MP Biomedicals packages the diets under nitrogen in sealed bags. It is recommended that these diets be kept frozen and accordingly, the products are shipped on dry ice.
