For maximum recovery please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 μg, 10 μg and 20 μg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 μL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase. This MET (cMET) Y1235D recombinant human protein (956-end) was expressed in insect cells. MET (cMET) Y1235D recombinant human protein is also available in our SelectScreen™ Kinase Profiling Service. Validated for use with the Z'-LYTE™ assay Available in multiple pack sizes for convenient use Also available in our SelectScreen Kinase Profiling Service Protein Form: Recombinant, Active, Cytoplasmic, Mutant The gene accession number for MET (cMET) [Y1235D] is NP_000236.2.

MET receptor tyrosine kinase is a proto-oncogene that encodes a transmembrane growth factor receptor which is a heterodimer of two disulphide linked chains of 50 kDa (alpha) and 145 kDa (beta). MET is widely expressed in the kidney, brain, lung, skin, and embryonic tissue. Hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) binds to MET and activates its tyrosine kinase activity. MET is overexpressed and activated in a variety of human cancers including pancreatic, colon, gastric, cervical and ovarian cancers and has been shown to be involved in tumor cell migration and invasion. MET (Y1235D) is one of the native mutant forms of MET.
