METTLER TOLEDO™ Ion Selective Electrodes (ISE)
A selection of ISE probes for detecting concentration of various free ions.
Supplier: METTLER TOLEDO™ 51344721
Description
- Prior to first use, rinse the electrode with distilled water and soak it in the appropriate standard for 24-48 hours and then fill with reference electrolyte (refer to table above)
- ISA (Ionic strength adjuster) solution required to be added to all calibration standards and samples prior to measurement for accurate results
- Refer to electrode user manual for appropriate ratio of ISA solution to sample volume
- Add filling solution each day before using the electrode (at least 2.5 cm above sample level in beaker)
- Be sure to screw cap tightly immediately after use
- The filling solution inside the electrode should not be allowed to evaporate, as crystallization will result
- For storage between measurements and up to three days, store in the appropriate standard
- For long-term storage, refer to specific ISE electrode user manual
- Sensing membrane will wear over time; each membrane can last about six months with normal use, but actual lifespan will depend on the type of samples that are being measured
- Competing ion interferences are common. Refer to ISE electrode user manual for potential interferences
- Compatible with METTLER TOLEDO SevenExcellence Benchtop, Seven2Go, and SevenGo Portable
- Compatible with InMotion Autosampler to automate measurement and cleaning of up to 303 samples
