The Model 1140 Micro Separometer by Emcee Electronics is a precision instrument for measuring the separation of closely spaced objects down to 0.25 microns. It uses a high magnification microscope with a linear encoder stage and digital readout to precisely measure distances. The instrument has a measuring range of 25mm with 0.5 micron resolution. It can be used for measuring semiconductor devices, MEMS structures, optical components, and other microscale parts. The Separometer includes a rigid frame with vibration isolation, reflected light illuminator, 10x eyepieces, and infinity corrected objectives from 5x to 100x.
