Supplied as a component of the Monarch HMW DNA Extraction Kit for Cells & Blood, the Monarch RBC Lysis buffer is specifically designed to lyse red blood cells (erythrocytes) while leaving leukocytes intact. The separate RBC lysis step enables removal of hemoglobin to increase the purity of the blood prep. The RBC Lysis Buffer also removes nucleases to enable the subsequent purification of HMW DNA into the megabase (Mb) range in size. This product should be stored at 4°C.
