Murine Complement Component 5a (C5a) is a pro-inflammatory protein fragment anaphylatoxin, and is cleaved by C5-convertase from complement component C5. Acting as an agonist for C5AR1 and C5AR2 on macrophages, neutrophils, and endothelial cells, C5a is a strong chemoattractant in stimulating an inflammatory response, and is recruited with the complement system network during an immune response to tissue damage or foreign objects. It is widely involved in many forms of inflammatory diseases, including asthma, ischemia-reperfusion injury, acute lung injury, and sepsis. Provided as 25 μg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer. These highly purified, pre-validated control ligands have been used to qualify our InCELL Hunter, PathHunter and cAMP Hunter cell lines as well as our Assay Ready Kits.
