Description
The Mouse Estradiol (E2) ELISA quantitates E2 in Serum, Plasma, Urine, Saliva. Principle of the method The Mouse E2 solid phase competitive ELISA (enzyme linked immunosorbent assay) is designed to measure the amount of the target based on competitive binding. A target specific antibody has been pre coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Samples, standards, or controls are then added into these wells, where Mouse E2 in the samples competes with the pre coated Mouse E2 for binding sites on the Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) linked detection antibody. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed away. A substrate solution is added that reacts with the enzyme antibody target complex to produce a measurable signal. The intensity of this signal, measured as optical density (OD) at a wavelength of 450±2 nm, is inversely proportional to the concentration of target present in the original specimen. The concentration of Mouse E2 in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
