Use granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) to induce the proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells and the generation of neutrophils, eosinophils, and macrophages (Barreda et al. Dev Comp Immunol, 2004). GM-CSF can stimulate the development of DCs that ingest, process, and present antigens to the immune system (Francisco-Cruz et al. Med Oncol, 2014). It is produced by multiple cell types, including macrophages, dendritic cells, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts. Together with other cytokines such as stem cell factor, IL-3, erythropoietin, and thrombopoietin, GM-CSF also stimulates erythroid and megakaryocyte progenitor cells (Barreda et al.). Mouse recombinant GM-CSF (E.coli-expressed) from STEMCELL comes lyophilized with ≥ 95% purity; EC50 ≤ 50 pg/mL; endotoxin levels verified ≤ 0.2 EU/μg protein.
