R&D Systems™ Mouse Syndecan-1/CD138 (NP_035649) VersaClone cDNA
Description
- Also known as: Sstn; Synd; CD138; Synd1; syn-1; AA408134; AA409076
- SDC1 is a type I transmembrane heparan sulfate proteoglycan and is a member of the syndecan proteoglycan family.
- The syndecans mediate cell binding, cell signaling, and cytoskeletal organization.
- Syndecan receptors are required for internalization of the HIV-1 tat protein.
- SDC1 functions as an integral membrane protein and participates in cell proliferation, cell migration and cell-matrix interactions via its receptor for extracellular matrix proteins.
- Altered SDC1 expression has been detected in several different tumor types.
- The insert is sequence verified and the entire plasmid DNA and insert translated sequences are provided.
- For reasearch use only. Not for use in humans.
