MyoMed 205 is an inhibitor that targets the activity of MuRF1. It prevents early diaphragmatic systolic dysfunction and atrophy caused by unilateral diaphragmatic nerve denervation. This compound reduces ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of muscle proteins by inhibiting MuRF1 activity. It also increases the levels of a protein that phosphorylates Akt (ser473), a crucial signaling molecule for muscle growth and maintenance.
