It is also used in the production of homopolymers and co-polymers like acrylic acid and its salts, esters, amides, methacrylates, acrylonitrile, maleates, vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, styrene, butadiene and unsaturated polyesters. Further, it is also used in making vitamin B1.
