N-Formylmethionine Specific Transfer Ribonucleic From E. coli MRE 600, MP Biomedicals™
Shop All MP Biomedicals, Inc ProductsDescription
- Ribonucleic acid, transfer, N-formylmethionine-specific may be used as a substrate to study the specifity and kinetics of natural, mutated and chemically engineered N-formylmethionine-specific E. coli aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase(s) and methionyl-tRNA formyltransferase(s) (MTF).
- Each T-RNA molecule is specific for and binds with a particular amino acid; more than one exists for each amino acid.
- T-RNA performs three functions during protein synthesis: binds with its specific amino acid, recognizes the corresponding codon on mRNA and places the amino acid in the correct position for attachment to the polypeptide chain being formed & binds the polypeptide to the ribosome.
