  • Non-ionic alkyl-glucoside detergent commonly used in the solubilization of membrane proteins and phospholipids.
  • Used at a molar dependant ratios for the solubilization of phosphatidylcholine bilayers.
  • Used for protein crystallization, as well as for enhancement of oligosaccharide cleavage from glycoproteins using endoglycosidase F.
