N-Palmitoyl dopamine (PALDA) is an endogenous, long-chain, linear fatty acid dopamide, which is inactive on TRPV1. This compound displays 'entourage' effects on endovanilloids N-arachidonoyl-dopamine (NADA) and anandamide.

  • Lowers the EC50 of N-arachidonoyl-dopamine (NADA) from approximately 90 to approximately 30 nM in vitro.
  • Enhances the effect on intracellular Ca2+ by anandamide (50 nM) dose-dependently.
  • Acts in synergy with low pH (6.0-6.7) to enhance intracellular Ca2+ via TRPV1.
