Most probably inhibits cell wall synthesis and consequently bacterial growth by forming a complex with lipid intermediate II Lipid II, a key intermediate in peptidoglycan biosynthesis. Potential novel antimicrobial agent for the treatment of infections caused by Gram-positive pathogens including resistant strains.
