Nicergoline
Description
Nicergoline is an ergot derivative and vasodilator which increases blood flow in the brain. Nicergoline inhibits the vasoconstrictor effect of catecholamines by inhibiting the postsynaptic α1-adrenoceptors on vascular smooth muscle.
