It can be used for research on prostate cancer and also exhibits antischistosomal properties. It inhibits hexobarbital hydroxylase, benzphetamine N-demethylase, benzo(a)pyrene hydroxylase, and 7-ethoxycoumarin O-deethylase activities in human liver microsomes.
