The cAMP Hunter NPY2R Bioassay kit provides an easy-to-use cell based assay to measure drug potency and detect neutralizing antibodies. This bioassay assesses ligand (e.g. peptide YY) based activation of NPY2R GPCR activity via detection of levels of intracellular cAMP. This product uses EFC technology. The cells overexpress wild type NPY2R, a naturally Gi coupled GPCR. Upon activation of NPY2R, the (decrease/increase) in levels of intracellular cAMP leads to a decreased signal from EFC when the cAMP detection kit is applied. Bioassay kits are a convenient, ready-to-use format which contains all materials needed to run the assay, including single-use vials of cryopreserved cells, cell plating media, control agonist, detection reagent, and assay plates.
