Nutrient Broth is used for the cultivation of various nonfastidious microorganisms. The formulations which include Oxoid Nutrient Broth No. 2 are primarily used in the Ames assay as specified by Maron & Ames, Mutat. Res. 113: 173, 1983 for culture of S. typhimurium. Also used for culture of E. coli WP2. We provide specifically formulated Nutrient agars and broths for Ames assay applications as well as for general use. MOLTOX does not provide microorganisms for testing. Some media are temperature sensitive and may have specific temperature and storage requirements for shipping/delivery.
