Nutrient Broth is used for the cultivation of various nonfastidious microorganisms. The formulations which include Oxoid Nutrient Broth No. 2 are primarily used in the Ames assay as specified by Maron & Ames, Mutat. Res. 113: 173, 1983 for culture of S. typhimurium. Also used for culture of E. coli WP2. Each lot of media from MOLTOX is tested for sterility, where applicable, and its ability to support the growth of the appropriate microorganism. All media are accompanied by GLP-compliant formulation and Quality Control certificate.
