OGYE Agar (Oxygluco Yeast Agar), 10mL (5 Day QC), 10/Pk is a selective culture medium formulated for the isolation and enumeration of yeasts and molds in food, beverage, and environmental samples. The medium incorporates oxytetracycline to inhibit bacterial growth, allowing fungal organisms to grow without interference from background bacteria. Its specialized formulation and slightly acidic conditions support reliable recovery of a wide range of fungal species. Each 60 x 15mm plate contains 10mL of sterile agar and undergoes a 5 day quality control incubation to confirm sterility and performance prior to distribution. OGYE Agar is widely used in microbiology laboratories for contamination monitoring, spoilage organism detection, and quality control testing in regulated production environments.
