The Ion Torrent Oncomine Comprehensive Assay Plus GX RNA is a targeted next-generation sequencing (NGS) assay that provides accurate and sensitive detection of RNA fusion transcripts associated with solid tumors that is appropriate for formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues. This assay is the RNA component of the Oncomine Comprehensive Assay Plus GX (Cat. No. A47013), which includes both DNA and RNA assays.

Key features of the assay include:

  • Comprehensive coverage of >1,300 key fusion isoforms from 49 drivers associated with solid tumors
  • Provides robust performance from 20 ng of RNA isolated from FFPE samples, including fine needle biopsies
  • Provides multiplex sequencing of up to eight RNA-only samples (or eight plus optional NTC) per GX7 Chip lane
  • System-installed assays preconfigured with settings optimized for specific applications and sample types
  • Requires as little as 10 minutes hands-on time per run for easy, automated workflows
