STEMCELL Technologies Human Recombinant Oncostatin M, Size: 1000 µg

Supplier: STEMCELL Technologies 78094.2
Use oncostatin M (OSM) to modulate differentiation, cell proliferation, hematopoiesis, and inflammation (Tanaka & Miyajima. Rev Physiol Biochem Pharmacol, 2003). OSM, a member of interleukin 6 family of cytokines, bears close resemblance to both leukemia-inhibitory factor and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor in amino acid sequence and their modulation of differentiation in a variety of cell types (Rose & Bruce. Proc Natl Acad Sci USA, 1991). OSM activates the JAK/STAT pathway by signaling through type I receptor (consisting of gp130 and LIF receptor) and type II receptor (consisting of gp130 and OSM receptor) (Auguste et al. J Biol Chem, 1997; Gómez-Lechón. Life Sci, 1999). OSM is primarily produced by activated T cells and monocytes, as well as activated macrophages, neutrophils, mast cells, and dendritic cells. Human recombinant Oncostatin M from STEMCELL comes lyophilized with ≥ 95% purity; EC50 ≤ 10 ng/mL; endotoxin levels verified ≤ 0.2 EU/μg protein. Alternative names: OSM.
