OPT500 Round Bottomed Flask Reaction Block, 500mL. OptiTherm aluminum reaction / heating blocks provide a SAFE and cost effective solution for replacing your existing oil baths and heating mantles. The innovative PTFE shield on the unit reduces the exterior exposed surface temperature by as much as 100C. For example the PTFE shield would be approximately 80C on a 100mL round bottom flask that is heated to 180C.Three different OptiTherm blocks are available. The OPT500 is used for 500mL round bottom flask. Each block can be used with other corresponding inserts. The anodized aluminum flask inserts are color coded for easy identification.
