Oxi Test (Oxidase Reagent), 25mL, 1/Pk is a ready to use biochemical reagent designed for rapid detection of cytochrome c oxidase activity in bacterial isolates. This test is commonly used to differentiate oxidase positive organisms such as Pseudomonas, Neisseria, and Campylobacter from oxidase negative bacteria including members of the Enterobacteriaceae family. The reagent produces a visible purple color when oxidase positive bacteria are present, allowing quick interpretation of results during microbial identification procedures. Supplied in a convenient dropper bottle, the reagent can be applied directly to colonies on filter paper, swabs, or culture media.
