(-)-p-Bromotetramisole oxalate is an alkaline phosphatase inhibitor that can be used in research related to erythroleukemia. This compound is applicable to research related to erythroleukemia. In Vitro, it potently inhibits terminal cell division-associated MEL DS-19 cell differentiation induced by 0.7% DMSO or 1.2 mM HMBA, reducing B+ cell levels. It also potently inhibits purified human liver, bone, spleen, and kidney alkaline phosphatase isoenzymes while minimally inhibiting purified human intestinal and placental alkaline phosphatase isoenzymes.
