FDP is used in the diagnosis of disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). Additionally, it is used to diagnose certain pregnancy disorders and myocardial infarction.

  • No pretreatment of heparin specimen
