PD-Phi29 is an engineered variant of the phi29 DNA polymerase with enhanced thermostability and activity compared to wild-type enzyme. The polymerase retains its intrinsic 3´→5' exonuclease activity, allowing high-fidelity proofreading during nucleotide incorporation. PD-phi29 is ideal for isothermal DNA amplification with exceptionally low template input (~1fg DNA). Compatible formats include RCA and MDA for whole genome amplification and plasmid sequencing.
