Mouse Monoclonal Secondary Antibody

Monoclonal Antibody Specifically detects in Human Samples. It is validated for Flow Cytometry.

The A9604D2 monoclonal antibody specifically recognizes the Fc region of the human Immunoglobulin A (IgA) subclass known as IgA2. It does not cross-react with other human immunoglobulin heavy chain (IgH) subclasses, including the IgA1 subclass. IgA2 is expressed by plasmablasts, plasma cells, and memory B cells, as well as some myeloma or plasmacytoma cells. It can exist as a transmembrane form (antigen-specific B cell surface receptor) or a soluble secreted form. Monomeric and dimeric forms of IgA2 are found in serum, while multimeric forms of secretory IgA2 (connected by a J-chain and secretory component) are typically found in higher levels in bodily secretions and human breast milk. Secretory IgA2 functions in agglutination of microbes and can block their adherence or infection of human cells. It can also bind to CD89 (FcαRI) on neutrophils, monocytes, macrophages, and eosinophils to trigger various immune responses.
