MCE Penicillin-Streptomycin-Glutamine (100x), sterile is designed to prevent bacterial contamination in cell cultures. It achieves this by combining penicillin, streptomycin, and glutamine, which effectively act against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. The solution contains 10,000 units/mL of penicillin, 10 mg/mL of streptomycin, and 29.2 mg/mL of glutamine in 0.85% NaCl. Common working concentrations are 100 units/mL for penicillin, 100 μg/mL for streptomycin, and 292 μg/mL for glutamine.
