Pancreatic peptide tyrosine tyrosine (peptide YY or PYY) is a 36 amino acid peptide released in the ileum and colon in response to feeding. It acts through neuropeptide Y (NPY) receptors to reduce appetite, inhibit gastric motility, and increase water and electrolyte absorption in the colon. It is a selective agonist for NPY2R over NPY1R (0.11 nM and 1050 nM, respectively). Provided as 500 μg of dry powder. These highly purified, pre-validated control ligands have been used to qualify our InCELL Hunter, PathHunter and cAMP Hunter cell lines as well as our Assay Ready Kits.
