Vector Laboratories Phaseolus Vulgaris Leucoagglutinin (Phytohemagglutinin-L; PHA-L), Biotinylated 2 mg

Supplier: Vector Laboratories B11152

Phaseolus vulgaris agglutinin (phytohemagglutinin; PHA) is a family of lectins, each consisting of four subunits. There are two different types of subunits: the "E" subunit (for erythroagglutinin) causes red cell agglutination, and the "L" subunit (for lymphocyte) can trigger lymphocyte agglutination and mitogenic activity. These subunits combine to produce five isolectins. PHA-L has four "L" type subunits, does not agglutinate red cells, but is a potent mitogen. This conjugate features a ratio of biotin to lectin protein that provides optimal avidin/streptavidin and lectin binding activity. Supplied essentially free of unconjugated biotins, it is preserved with sodium azide.
