Description

An initial, qualitative screening test useful for identifying patients with a high likelihood of an allergic disease (so called atopic individuals).

The Phadiatop test utilizes a mixture of allergens often implicated in causing allergic diseases in adults and children. The test differentiates atopic and non-atopic diseases, the first step taken when testing for atopic allergy. A balanced mixture of relevant allergens react with specific IgE antibodies in the patient's serum, demonstrating the presence of atopic allergy to common allergens.
