Phenylephrine hydrochloride, or NeoSynephrine, is a synthetic sympathomimetic drug compound structurally similar to epinephrine that is a selective agonist of the α1-adrenergic receptor on blood vessels, causing vasoconstriction. Its in-vivo effects include decongestion, hypertension, and pupil dilation. It is a common ingredient in many decongestants, and for cold, flu, allergy, or breathing illnesses. It acts as an agonist of ADRA1A, B, and C. Provided as 10 mg of dry powder. These highly purified, pre-validated control ligands have been used to qualify our InCELL Hunter, PathHunter and cAMP Hunter cell lines as well as our Assay Ready Kits.
