Unmodified beaded agarose resin for pre-clearing protein immunoprecipitation samples to reduce background signal and nonspecific binding in IP assays.

Thermo Scientific™ resin is effective for depleting proteins and other sample components that bind to agarose nonspecifically, which reduces background signal in IP reactions

When used as a negative control, these beads enable specific and nonspecific binding interactions to be distinguished.

Highlights:

  • Crosslinked 4% beaded agarose (CL4B) is the same base support used in various Thermo Scientific Pierce IP and co-IP kits, unmodified and non-activated
  • 10mL package size is more appropriate for experimental needs
  • Supplied as a 50% slurry in 20% ethanol (pipetting 1mL of slurry delivers 0.5mL of settled resin): wash in buffer and the beads are ready to use
