Description
Thermo Scientific™ Pierce Microcentrifuge Spin Cups and Spin Columns are convenient tools for manipulating small volumes of affinity supports for protein purification.
Additional Information and Online Ordering
These microcentrifuge spin cups and spin columns are convenient tools for manipulating small volumes of affinity supports (5 to 500μL) for immunoprecipitation (IP) and pull-down purification assays. Five styles of polypropylene columns and matching collection tubes offer a variety of options to suit particular types of experimental needs. Add the affinity resin and sample to one of the columns and use a microcentrifuge to efficiently wash away contaminants and elute your purified sample without losing any resin in the process. Spin columns allow you to affinity-purify more protein in less time.
Highlights:
- Efficient washing of samples means fewer washes are needed to remove contaminating proteins
- Efficient elution of samples means better recovery of immunoprecipitation and assay products
- Filter cups and columns eliminate contamination of eluted samples with affinity resin
- Filter cups and columns eliminate the need to decant supernatant from pelleted debris or resin
- Spin protocols drastically reduce the time required for small-scale affinity protocols
- Low protein-binding polypropylene column construction minimizes nonspecific binding
