The 2.4G2 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with mouse CD16 (FcγRIII) and CD32 (FcγRII), and non-specifically with FcγRI. These receptors are found on immune cells like B cells, monocytes/macrophages, and NK cells, binding to Fc portions of antibody-antigen complexes. The antibody is used in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence to prevent non-specific IgG Fc binding to FcγIII, FcγII, and FcγI receptors. It can also block Fc receptors in vivo.
