Supplier: Medchemexpress LLC HY14816350G
Polystyrene sulfonic acid (30% in water) is provided as a potentially toxic hazardous substance, available in solution packaging for research use only. In vitro and in vivo studies have shown that polystyrene-derived microplastics (PS-MPs) can enter testicular cells, leading to decreased sperm quality, testosterone levels, and testicular inflammation in mice. - Suitable for research applications only
- Provided in solution packaging
- Studies indicate potential for male reproductive toxicity in mice, including decreased sperm quality and testosterone levels
- Demonstrates adverse effects on zebrafish activity and heart tissue, including oxidative stress and metabolic changes
- PS-MPs with specific particle sizes have been shown to accumulate in the testis of mice
