Polyvinylpyrrolidone is used in coatings, printing ink, rubber, glass, leather, cosmetics, soaps, plastics, in paper making and as a stabilizer. It acts as a disintegrant in pharmaceutical tablets and as a fining to extract impurities. It is used to remove polyphenols in beer.
