The Mercodia Porcine C-peptide ELISA provides a method for quantitative determinination of porcine c-peptide in serum, EDTA plasma and cell culture media. This is a highly specific immunoassay with excellent analytical performance and precision. There is no cross-reactivity to C-peptide in human, macaque, mouse or rat samples. Also, there is no cross-reactivity to insulin and proinsulin in porcine, human, mouse or rat samples. Enables specific measurement of porcine c-peptide in xenotransplantation studies. Distinguishes endogenous c-peptide for PD/PK studies during exogenous insulin administration. May be used for post-transplant assessment of porcine islet xenograft function in human, macque, rat or mouse models.
