Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) with Tartaric Acid is a selective fungal culture medium designed for the cultivation, enumeration, and isolation of yeasts and molds in pharmaceutical, food, beverage, and environmental testing applications. The addition of tartaric acid lowers the pH of the medium to create an acidic environment that suppresses bacterial growth while encouraging the recovery of fungi. This formulation is particularly suitable for cleanroom monitoring, raw material testing, and microbial surveillance in controlled manufacturing environments. Each plate contains approximately 25mL of agar, providing a stable surface and reducing dehydration during extended incubation periods required for fungal growth. Plates are supplied in mono packaging to balance sterility and workflow efficiency. Quality control testing ensures consistent performance for routine laboratory use.
