The WEG Power Factor Correction Capacitor is a single-phase capacitor designed to improve power factor in electrical systems. It has a 480VAC voltage rating and is available in sizes from 7.5kVAR to 450kVAR. The capacitor uses dry polypropylene film dielectric material and is enclosed in a vented steel enclosure for safety. It can provide leading vars to offset inductive loads and improve power factor to 0.95 or better. This helps reduce utility costs and improves voltage regulation.
