This Cogent HPS C18™ Stationary Phase has been a premium value and used by HPLC laboratories for many years. It is double end capped ( fully ), with mono functional bonding of an 18 carbon silane to our unique silica. With a 5 µm Particle, this column works well with higher flow rates and lower back pressures compared with smaller particles which makes it ideal for purification of hydrophobic or neutral compounds in Reversed Phase. This Octadecyl Phase is also excellent for long chain fatty acids. Expect longer retention than with a C8 column. A specialized HPLC System is required for columns this size.
