This single polypeptide chain has a moelcular weight of 42,000 Daltonsheat-stable, and contains little to no carbohyrdrate moeities. Protein A has the ability to bind with high affinity to the IgG of many mammalian species via the Fc portion of the immunoglobulin. Specifically, Protein A will recognize to varying degrees the IgG classes of human, rabbit, mouse, guinea pig, rat, sheep, bovine, goat, swine, and dog. Product is in lyophilized form.
