PS-1145 is an IκB kinase (IKK) inhibitor with an IC50 of 88 nM, functioning to block TNFα-induced NF-κB activation by inhibiting IκBα phosphorylation in multiple myeloma (MM) cells. This inhibition is observed in a dose- and time-dependent manner. It also enhances the blockade of NF-κB activation when combined with Dexamethasone, and can inhibit the protective effect of IL-6 against Dexamethasone-induced apoptosis.
