The Purple-Jelley Hyaluronan Assay is used to measure the quantity of hyaluronan (hyaluronic acid, HA) in mammalian tissue. It is a dye-based method with a detection limit of 0.2 g. The purple dye reagent (3,3-Diethyl-9-methyl-4,5,4,5-dibenzothia carbocyanine bromide) is supplied in 55% solution of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) in a 20 ml vial. Biocolor Item # H2000
